- No account required.
- Markdown, PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, HTML, CSV/TSV, JSON, XML, EPUB, ZIP, and image documents are processed in the browser.
- Multi-document autosave and local assets use IndexedDB.
- Document content is not uploaded to a Markdown Lens backend.
- Text-based PDF and Word .docx files up to 100 MB can be converted to editable Markdown.
- Optional English image OCR runs locally. Scanned PDFs still need a dedicated OCR workflow, and legacy DOC/PPT/XLS files must be exported to modern formats.
- Supports GitHub-flavored Markdown, Mermaid, KaTeX math, and syntax-highlighted code.
